So, it was my birthday last Friday and while counting down the days I noticed something.
The age 19 is a really awkward year. It's the first year where nothing exciting really happens. Up until your 10, every birthday counts. 7 is a lot more mature than 6, a 6 month old baby is different than an 11 month. Then, you start to really go to school..or at least not elementary anymore (middle school was still baaad). You hit 12, the final year before a teenager and them BAM you're 13 and on top of the world (or at least you think so).
Then you go through the teenage years. 14, you're really a teenager now. 15, you have one more year until 16, which is when you can drive. 17 is a stepping stone into adulthood, or something like that, and you can legally see rated-R movies!!! And then 18, where the USA government sees that you are an adult. You can do everything now, vote, join military, get a tattoo, go to adult jail. It's great!
Behold age 19. What is new to us? The last year of being a teenager? I was ready for that about 3 years ago... The year before being 20? But being 20 is one of the last exciting birthdays. And there seems to be this huge gap between 19 and 20.
19. It's just another year...nothing really happens. Makes me feel old...

I didnt realize you turned 19! Dang. Well, I think i can put up with the lame birthday years such as 19 just to get to 21. Because then I get to go dancing!!
For the last few years now, birthdays to me seem just like another day, just a few things different in an ordinary day. I haven't ever gotten an epiphany from just turning a year older, and yet people put so much significance on age. hmmm, should save that for a blog post. Anyways, Happy Birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY...again...even though it's past...yea...I'm not a huge bday person. It's like saying...hey celebrate me because my parents decided to concieve and here I am...__ years later to tell you that I was born...isn't that enough reason to get presents? my existence? although materialism in general is stupid...so don't mind me. I tend to think that holidays are annoying when if something is really important, you should celebrate it through your life, not a holiday...mothers and fathers day...you should be happy you have them and treat them well no matter what day, but if you need a special day to HONOR them by buying them flowers that you only got to show that you didn't forget it was a national holiday..not cause you mean it...IT IRKS me...oh well...sorry for being pessimistic....and 21 will not be a big bday for me cause i don't plan to drink...sorry for the long comment...i like ranting...it's fun
